Lori McLaughlin
Varsity Head Coach
Coach McLaughlin came to Cedar Park fresh off the road to state where she ended her 2018 season as the 6A State Runner-Up. When her career in Houston was complete, she was a four-time Regional Quarter-finalist, three-time District Champion, a Regional Semi-Finalist and a State Finalist at Ridge Point High School. In her time at Ridge Point, Lori was District Coach of the Year three times. In her final season in Houston, Coach McLaughlin was named AVCA Regional Coach of the Year and GHVCA Coach of the Year. She has also been an All-Star coach for TGCA & GHVCA four years combined.
Prior to Ridge Point, she spent five years at Dawson High School where she went to the Regional Tournament twice, was a Regional Semi-Finalist and also had a District Championship. Prior to Dawson, she spent nine years in Katy ISD: her first three years at Katy Junior High before moving to Mayde Creek for six years where she started her head coaching career.
This will be Coach McLaughlin's twenty-second year as a Head Coach, and she has led her teams to playoffs for the last fifteen consecutive years in a row. She and her husband, Mike, have two sons, Chase and Cole. Chase is a junior at Oklahoma State University, and Cole is a senior at CPHS.

Erin Smith

Coach Smith, grew up in Cedar Park, graduated from Cedar Park High School and went on to play D2 soccer all four years as a goalkeeper at St. Mary's University in San Antonio. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise & Sports Science with a teaching certification.
Coach Smith started her teaching and coaching career in Round Rock ISD while working to obtain her Master's degree in Coaching & Sports Administration. She made the move to Cedar Park Middle School where she became the Girls Coordinator in 2023. She was able to coach volleyball, basketball, track and soccer throughout the three years she was there. This will be Coach Smith's fifth year teaching and coaching, and first year at CPHS. She strives to continue to strengthen the family and community that defines Cedar Park. This includes assisting our students and athletes to make an impact on the court and in the classroom, leaving a legacy behind for all to remember. As Cedar Park will always be home to Coach Smith, she has placed her roots here with her husband, Alex, and their three kids, Michael (3), Evelyn (2), and Oliver (almost 1).

Mario Vazquez
Freshman Coach
I’m Mario Vazquez, a passionate and dedicated coach with four years of experience. I attended Texas State University, where I obtained a bachelor's in Exercise Sport Science with a minor in Spanish.
I previously served as the head cross country coach and assistant girls soccer coach at McNeil High School, where I spent those years helping student-athletes grow both on and off the field.
As a coach, I believe in four core values: Discipline, Accountability, Respect, and Effort. These principles guide everything I do, from training sessions to team culture, and I believe they’re essential for success, not just in sports, but in life.
I’m committed to developing not only skilled athletes, but strong individuals and teammates. I take pride in creating an environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and motivated to reach their full potential.
I am very blessed with this opportunity and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish this year. Go Wolves!
